Exerpt from the story:
"When he came to the next field of corn he told them the same thing.
Next he came to a big castle that belonged to the real owner of the fields, an ogre. Puss demanded to see the ogre. He told the ogre he had heard that he had the power to change himself into any creature he wanted to, but that he did not believe it. The ogre said it was true and changed into a lion. That scared the cat almost to death.
He told the ogre that he had also heard that he could change into a tiny creature such as a mouse or a rat, and he didn't believe that. So the Ogre did. And Puss gobbled him up. Then he told the servants to prepare a great banquet.
Then he went back and met his master, the king, and the princess. He welcomed them to the castle of the Marquis or Carabas. After the banquet the king offered his daughter's hand in marriage to the Marquis of Carabas..."
