Exerpt from the story:
"Thinking about the second race the tortoise decided that he needed to change the course to suit his strengths. He challenged the hare to another race on a different course. The hare accepted and this time the course was set to go down the hill and across the river to the finish line.
When the hare got to the river she was still trying to figure out how to cross it when the tortoise climbed in and swam across to cross the finish line. When the hare finally found a way across to get the end of the race the tortoise shook his hand and said, “Fast and consistent may beat slow and steady, but you will always win when you play to your strengths.”
After three races the tortoise and the hare had become great friends. Together they decided they would run the race one last time. However, this time they decided to work together. The hare carried to tortoise to the river. The tortoise carried the hare on his back as he swam across the river. And the hare crossed the finish line with the tortoise on his back. The tortoise and the hare finally learned that it is wonderful to have strengths, but we do much better when we share those strengths and work together to win the race."

Exerpt from the story:
"Once upon a time there was a poor miller who did not know when to stop exaggerating. He had a daughter that was very pretty, and very clever. He was always boasting about all the things she could do. One day the miller had business with the king and began to brag about his daughter. When nothing seemed to impress the king he told him that she could even spin straw into gold. Now that got the king's attention and he wanted to meet the daughter. He asked the miller to send her to the palace. But he told him that if he had lied he would kill the girl.
The daughter was very upset that her dad had got her into such a mess. But the king had ordered for her to come, so she put on her best clothes and went.
When she arrived at the palace he put her in a room of straw with a spinning wheel and told her he'd be back in the morning and the straw better all be gold. The girl began to stamp her feet and howl in frustration. When she stopped to take a breath she heard a scratching at the window and when she opened it in popped a little bitty man. He asked her what was wrong. So she told him the whole story. And he told her that he could spin the gold, if she would give him her necklace. So she gave him the necklace and he set to work..."

Exerpt from story:
"When she was aloud to rest it was only by the fireplace among the cinders. And so she gained the nickname Cinderella. But Cinderella grew more and more beautiful each day. And her sisters grew more and more jealous of her.
One day the king's son decided to hold a Grand Ball and sent invitations to all the women in the kingdom. For the next week Cinderella had to work like crazy to prepare her sisters for the Ball. They were cruel to her and rubbed it in that she wouldn't be going. And after they left for the Ball Cinderella finally broke down crying.
Suddenly her fairy godmother appeared and asked what was wrong. When Cinderella told her she told her that she would help her get to the ball. She told Cinderella to go get a pumpkin from the garden. With a tap of her wand the fairy godmother transformed it into an elegant, gold coach..."
